Congrats to Spirit.
Gardner, Swisher, and Posada each had a couple of hits yesterday.  Yanks had 14 total.  Ian Kennedy had a nice line as well.  De La Rosa blew the game.
Livan Hernandez pitched 2 scoreless innings for the Mets.  Bobby Kielty went yard for a 3-runner.  1-2-3 was 2-12.  For St. Louis, 1-2-3 was 5-10.
Uncle Sal is running the Nooger bio on Bill Stafford, a starter for the championship Yankee teams in the early 60′s.  Definitely worth a hit for some Saturday morning history.
