This is my life:
George works hard at the office but spends two nights each week bowling, and plays golf every Saturday.
His wife thinks he’s pushing himself too hard, so for his birthday she takes him to a local strip club.
The doorman at the club greets them and says, ‘Hey, George! How ya doin?’
His wife is puzzled and asks if he’s been to this club before..
‘Oh no,’ says George. ‘He’s in my bowling club.
When they are seated, a waitress asks George if he’d like his usual and brings over a beer.
His wife is becoming increasingly uncomfortable and says, ‘How did she know that you drink that beer?’
‘I recognize her, she’s the waitress from the golf club.

A stripper then comes over to their table, throws her arms around George, starts to rub herself all over him and says,

The cabby turns around and says,

To be honest Sal, I didnt pay much attention to the 2 young SSs.That was one of the bad things about being on crutches to start.What I did see of them in games was impressive.One of em flashed some leather and they both hit well.I say let them develop some more and keep Berroa.His experience is worth it in my opinion.

It is amazing what a great manager Valentine is 8,000 miles away. Fifteen years in the Majors and he never finished first in his division. He’s 45 games over .500 in 2200 games. He sells himself well though.
Valentine is interested in self-promotion. Even by his own admission, he says he should get the job because HE knows the Japanese, that they would be “afraid” of HIM, that HE would interview the players first to screen them for the right attitude, yada yada yada. Not so coincidentally, his contract is up this season and the word is he won’t be renewed because of the economy.
