I can see Wright stepping up and Delgado stepping back in power.
Hey Lev, what’s this I saw on Sal Marchiano’s sports, Wilpon took him around and apparently there’s an overhang over right field that will cut off flyballs from the warning track?
They really got themselves in a jam with Swisher. I don’t think they really want to trade Melky with Damon,Matsui and Nady up at the end of the year but when A Rod comes back, they can’t carry 6 outfielders.
Davidoff says it isn’t as dramatic as he thought it would be. I heard some guy on the radio who was at the college game say there isn’t enough mention of Met history in the place but overall it is a great experience.
They have Wright locked up through 2013. He’ll be 31 in Dec of that year. It was a win-win for both sides. They will have to pay him again but he won’t be going anywhere. This kid is 26. He is just entering his prime and Francessa had the gall to say that he would trade him for Longoria. Look what this kid has done in his first four full years. He is still maturing.
I have already found myself changing the channel a lot more. He is unbearable to listen to most days. If Max Kellerman joins his show I will never listen to it again.
lib, I don’t know if you caught it, but I mentioned a snippet about Joba that I saw in SNT ( from Saturday, I believe ). Since I rarely visit the DN anymore, I don’t read the N.Y. papers much.
Is it true that Joba’s velocity is down, and are team officials worried abiout it ?
"During my 18 years I came to bat almost 10,000 times. I struck out about 1,700 times and walked maybe 1,800 times. You figure a ballplayer will average about 500 at-bats a season. That means I played 7 years without ever hitting the ball." - Mickey Mantle
Wright 31
Delgado 32
Beltran 30
New ballpark adds a wrinkle though.
Wright 35, kid comes into his own for real this year, Delgado 28 and Beltran 25
Wright: 29
Delgado: 35
Beltran: 31
I’ll take the under on Delgado Ghost. But just under.
o/u on the number of times manuel says im-o cutcha?
I will even go this far, I say Wright to win MVP better than Pujols.
5
Wright definitely coming into own, but I would like to see him k less than 118.

J, don’t say Pujols doesn’t have an MVP year. Got money on him already.
You think Jay Horwitz reads BBT?

J- I’m a big fan of David Wright. I wouldn’t trade him for anyone. I hope they are able to keep him for his career.
where is Jay?
Show me the money.
Lib- Why are you sour on Pujols?
Ghost- Are you talking about Wright?
Two bad starts from Ollie and Horwitz took the plunge into insanity.
Show me the money. yes wright. Did they lock him up long enough?

Reyes is 2011 and they’ll have to break the bank for him too. He’ll turn 28 in June of that year.
Is this JRZ??
The bear should have protected his junk.
Francesa is a blowhard.
What’s this I heard about Francesa and Tuna having a falling-out? Anybody know what that’s about, if true?
Did you see this Nat?- This is the smell of fear. The wheels are coming off.

Why does Francesa keep reminding of Edna Turnblad?
