  1. I figured you would be, glad about the fedora.I can see your dismay in ticket prices, although, as I said the other day,If they win, the money will buy all them tix again next year, trust me.

  2. Might not be the same companies that were buying them for the last 10 years but it will be some other company, mark my words.

  3. They can charge what the market will bear. I have no problem with that. I love the guys on the radio who cry and complain about ticket prices then they are asked if they re-upped and they say yes like “Why would you ask me that? Of course I did.”

  4. Pelfrey had a big 4ip 10 h 8 run “tune up” today. I’d say he is all set to go.

  5. heh heh Lev. Who knew a guy with 32 wins in six years had the most unhittable pitch in baseball. What’d those batters do to the pitch that followed? That’s a whole other analysis.

  7. Don’t get me wrong Lib- Madson had a phenomenal year last year with the Phils setting up Lidge but please. These guys are the same guys who brought us the sub-prime mortgage mess.

  8. That last youtube clip is omar sellin his roster to the mets fans….and thats my first elbow, AND I made it count.

    jrzinbatonrouge April 2, 2009 at 7:17 pm
  9. Yeah. Writing in the Times. That explains a lot.

  10. Yo Kev, help a brother out!

  11. Hahahaha jrz- Reminds me a little of Hal selling those $5 “partial-views”.

  12. I stopped giving a F about the new joint the minute I heard outdoor or “open air” martini bar or whatever rainbow nonsense it was.

    jrzinbatonrouge April 2, 2009 at 7:22 pm
  13. Lev, I saw it today. I would say 1/7th of the bleachers are obstructed. For $5 you walk in the park and can have a full view from anywhere. Wait until you see the pics from the concourses. They are the best seats in the house – standing.

  14. Come on J- Who goes to a game to watch it?

  15. J, there’s plenty of beer flowing, if that’s what you’re worried about. PLENTY! There’s a lot of everything.

  16. I saw your comments this afternoon Lib. Sounds great but I’m not spending $600 bucks when all is said and done to take the wife and kids to a game.

  17. All I know for sure is that it is 1/5 of the people in the 1st 20 rows come october.

    jrzinbatonrouge April 2, 2009 at 7:28 pm
  18. Not trying to sell to you lev, just saying. Absolutely, wait until the prices come down.

  19. I didn’t think you were Lib. It really does sound great.

  20. Most of the games I’ve gone to over the last ten years have been on the arm in great seats. I got spoiled. Those days are over and they ain’t coming back.

  21. 1/5 of em couldnt give a fuck who wins, got some shit goin on around me sorry.

    jrzinbatonrouge April 2, 2009 at 7:40 pm
  22. I got you J. The Super Bowl and the NCAA is the same way.

How do you like the NCAA wanting their money up front now for next year’s March Madness regardless of whether you win tickets in the lottery?

  23. They all got balls, whether they are paying players or not.

    jrzinbatonrouge April 2, 2009 at 7:45 pm
  24. Hey there is a price for everything. If someone is willing to pay for it then it is the right price. Speaking of which, how about Sheffield who can’t lift his arm over his head being chased, supposedly, by 4 teams?

  25. phils, reds and??

    jrzinbatonrouge April 2, 2009 at 7:52 pm
  26. last I remember he was representing himself.

    jrzinbatonrouge April 2, 2009 at 7:53 pm
  27. Just reading the story about Mauer going on th DL. The Twins have guys named “Dickey” and “Boof”: I just can’t wish them well.

It is better than Seattle last year with Dickey and Putz. Look how they wound up.

  28. Sounds like there are 1 or 2 “mystery” teams out there J. Now they could be Andy Pettitte type “mysteries” or the real deal. My guess is the latter with his cost so low. Although with 3 or 4 teams in the mix Sheff might wind up making out better than some of the free agents did on top of his $14 mill.

  29. I remember putz and wang facing(haha)each other a few years back.At least they were in there at the same time(haha)

    jrzinbatonrouge April 2, 2009 at 7:59 pm
  30. Rufus Williams handling Sheff’s negotiations.

  31. Facing each other-lol

  32. no chuckle for “in there at tha same time”?

    jrzinbatonrouge April 2, 2009 at 8:04 pm
  33. in there at the same time-LMAO

  34. Pictures are up. Later.

  35. Looks like Baker has the inside track with Sheff: “He (Sheff) was real tight with a couple of my homeys, La Vel Freeman and Mike Felder. I’ve known him a long time.” Well, I guess that settles it. Wait till the Reds sign him and he is calling Dusty a racist in June.
