YANKEES IN LAST PLACE! METS TIED FOR DIVISION LEAD!

Technically, Yanks are in last place.  CM Wang is on the hill today versus Koji Uehara (like kung fu vs karate), and with a win, Wang could possibly turn the entire season around.

Mets are already in the thick of the NL East pennant chase.  Mike Pelfrey – Mets4ever’s 6th man – gets the call versus Edinson (what’s with the “n”?) Volquez.

The draft went well but with a little hitch.  Supe tried logging in but to no avail, or, as I suspect, supe clicked in and saw what a tremendous job LB was doing with his team and decided to sit back and watch the action.  Last five rounds went Derek Lowe, Miguel Tejada, Akinori Iwamura, Jake Peavy, and Pat Burrell.  LB thanks you for your continued patronage to BBT.  Lou, the last-minute alternate, was sidelined with a labral cyst that needed draining.

  1. Your head will be buzzing after that show, Sup. Hammerstein is a loud venue and Black Label will have it thumping. Love the smaller venues in NY. Going to see my eternal crush, Neko Case at the Nokia next week. Totally different vibe but she is so f’n cool.

  9. yeah mac Hammerstein a sweet midrange venue. Saw Testament there last October & they shredded big time. Also saw Godsmack there back in ’98 off their first album. Have to say I’ve never heard of Neko Case. She’s a solo artist?

  11. Night, Lib. Yeah, Sup, like I said completely different vibe than NIN, Black Label etc. But, she is a unique artist. First time I saw her under the stars at SXSW. I was mesmerized and have been hooked ever since.

  14. I hear ya mac. I’m primarily a rock/metalhead. Simon & Garfunkel and James Taylor are about as singer/songwriter as I get. Come to think of it outside of Sade I don’t really dig too many female artists, although I must say the singer from Evanesence has got some serious pipes.
