  1. Hey guys. Getting on a plane in about 15 minutes. Lib, can you drop Dice-K for me and add Matt Cain. Can’t bear to have anymore Red Sox on the tea. Hope you all are doing well. Talk to you on the other side.

  2. OK. Later man.

  3. safe flight mac.

  4. New scores are up.

For those interested, I am looking into revamping the site completely, and with the Yanks and Mets in an obvious free fall, I might hold off on the daily boxes to focus on a more creative and ambitious effort. So I’ll be in and out.

  5. That said, I hope everyone is enjoying a safe and happy Spring. It’s gorgeous weather indeed.

Any comments on the site as-is is appreciated, I am especially receptive to critiques of what you like and what you don’t. Feel free to fire away.

  6. If I told my family that I was friends with a bunch of Yankee fans one year ago, they would have asked me what alternate universe I was I referring to. Thanks, fellows.

  7. Afternoon sportsfans.

Tough day for the local teams ( Rangers included ).

    Perhaps a song.

  8. lib, I trust your judgment.

Follow your heart and use your imagination.

  9. SPIRIT: The Rangers play in Texas, not New York… But it was a tough day for them too. They had a 5-1 lead against The Orioles, but lost, 8-5. Tough day to be a Ranger fan. HA HA HA.

  10. shoe, your O’s division is shaping up to be quite interesting.

It appears that every team will have a say in how things pan out.

As for the baseball Rangers, slugfests appear to be the norm. And the hottest ( temperature wise ) ballpark I’ve ever been in, although it’s beautiful.

In addition, there’s a Spirit Of St.Louis brick outside the stadium, circa 1998.

  11. SPIRIT: The Rangers were up 5-1 in the fifth, and our bullpen came in and shut them down. O runs allowed.
ALSO, we actually won the game Friday, but were robbed. with two outs and one on the the top of the ninth, we were up, 4-3. Sheorge Sherrill PICKED OFF The Rangers’ runner on first, but the unp inexplicably called him safe. that waould have been the third and final out right there. On the next pitch, the Ranger batter hit a home run for the lead. GRRRRRRRRR!!!

  12. We won seven pennants in our history. One in St.Louis(1944),and six in Baltimore (1966,1969,1970,1971,1979, and 1983).
