THIS TEAM STINKS; Mets Shlong Phils

All Prayers for Mets4Ever’s uncle’s spirit, and for the whole Family.  May St. Peter Welcome Him Home!  Life is eternal!  Life is eternal!

Yanks loseMets win.

Im gonna learn to hit it out that way.

"I'm gonna learn to hit it out that way."

Yankees drop another and prove that this team on the field is NOT a playoff-caliber team.  That said, what’s wrong with Mariano Rivera?  I know what it is.  He’s getting old.  Like I said back in January, he’s at the point in his career the Yanks need a contingency plan.  This is the graph (forgive the weirdness):

2 Mariano Rivera 482 1995 active 13
3 Lee Smith 478 1980 1997 17

David Wright is out of his slump and the Mets are rolling.  Obstruction, my ass!  What’s up with all the “fullbacking” going on this year?

  1. Kay is an idiot.I had the mets game on for a minute after the HP ump got wacked.I swear I heard Darling say that the ump wears a hockey style mask and then I watched him put on a reg. mask.

  2. Swisher has a good time out there and he laced that double but his act is gonna get old doing things like that at third. What was Thomson doing there?

Beltran lost a fly ball in the lights in right center after waving Church off and the ball dropped behind him. Somehow, Church was implicated in the blunder. It’s Taco Time in the booth tonight.

  3. The home plate umpire in Baltimore should take one in the puss tonight. He’s doing a lot of pointing back there.

  4. I don’t know what I was thinking taking Granderson against Cliff Lee tonight. Good thing I have another 135 games to not win this game.

  5. I dont know what thomson was doing. In 30 years of watching baseball I have never seen that.

    jrzinbatonrouge May 8, 2009 at 8:22 pm
  6. The strikezone changes each 1/2 inning.I am not saying for or against either team, it just changes.

    jrzinbatonrouge May 8, 2009 at 8:25 pm
  7. I have seen it before once but it wasn’t as blatant as that. The third base coach put his hand on the guy’s back on an overthrow but I can’t remember the game. This was a blatant push. WTF?

  8. CC looks like he is happy to have Big Al back too.

    jrzinbatonrouge May 8, 2009 at 8:25 pm
  9. I’m telling you they are just flipping a coin behind the dish. The batters are starting to get sick of it too all over the league. I don’t mind a lousy zone as long as it is the SAME lousy zone throughout the game.

  10. Even in my beer softball league you can’t touch the baserunner…what a dick.

    supernaut924 May 8, 2009 at 8:28 pm
  11. Kay just said, “At 13-15 there are no excuses, but the Yankees do have excuses.” He is a real poet.

  12. You can touch him but if in the umpire’s judgment the coach holds or pushes the runner then it is interference. Thomson gets an assist. That was ridiculous.

  13. thank God I dont have to listen to him.

    jrzinbatonrouge May 8, 2009 at 8:36 pm
  14. Right correct Levi & good call on this home plate ump; terrible. And we’ll never confuse Kay w/ Keats that’s for sure.

    supernaut924 May 8, 2009 at 8:37 pm
  15. Looks like big boy’s got the whole repetoire working tonight: heater, hook, change up

    supernaut924 May 8, 2009 at 8:43 pm
  16. All I want from the HP ump is consistency.Did you guys see the 1st strike call on Melky last inning? The Os booth was talking about how Guthrie was pitching around Cabrera to get to Cervelli and didnt even see that it was called a strike.

    jrzinbatonrouge May 8, 2009 at 8:45 pm
  17. Yeah Supe and that promo commercial “After 86 years at the same address, Greatness has a new home” is starting to grate on me.

  18. What I love about all these broadcasters is that they are watching the game just like we are but they miss so much while they are yapping.

Consistency J is all players ask for even if it is a consistently bad strike zone. At least everyone knows where it is.

  19. What’s up fellas…I caught ARod’s home run from across the Mexican restaurant. The Lady wanted a romantic evening, but instead she got a raving idiot yelling at TV in a crowded public place.

“Yeah baby. WHOOO. GOOD for YOU, ARod, GOOD for YOU. WHOOOO.” [CLAP CLAP CLAP]

  20. Verlander and Lee dueling in Cleveland.

  21. Kay for Keats…bwaaa

  22. I here ya Lev…at what point do the Yanks drop Tex out of the 3 hole? Heck I’d bat Damon 3rd right now the way he’s swinging it.

    supernaut924 May 8, 2009 at 8:58 pm
  23. Way to make a spectacle of yourself Lib.At least you are in NY, I do that shit down here and get all kinds of looks, then I look at them and tell em to eat their EFFIN food and mind their business.Mama loves that act.

Careful eatin in the Mexican joints, ya will end up wth the pig virus.I drank tequilla yesterday and feel like I have had it all day.

    jrzinbatonrouge May 8, 2009 at 8:59 pm
  24. correction: hear ya

    supernaut924 May 8, 2009 at 8:59 pm
  25. Where is Bobby Parnell? Green, Takahashi? WTF?

  26. Mind your business-LMAO

Lib- Didn’t expect anything less from you

Supe- I’d leave him there. He is gonna see a ton of fastballs with Al behind him. Eventually he busts out and he is gonna get hot. I think he’s close.

  27. from your lips 2 God’s ears Lev.

    supernaut924 May 8, 2009 at 9:19 pm
  28. for tonight: Nick Johnson, Matt Holliday & Bobby Abreau

    supernaut924 May 8, 2009 at 9:23 pm
  29. JRZ, believe me..you’re safer kissing a pig than a Mexican

  30. Where in God’s name was Damon playing that he didn’t get to that? That ball has to be caught.

  31. First night that no one has Roberts or Cano. Know what that means? Roberts and Cano get two hits.

    Eat your food!

  32. Thank you Manny for taking all the pressure off ARod

  33. ORIOLES BITE THE DUST.

    coltsoriolesbullet May 8, 2009 at 9:38 pm
  34. Complete game shutout from CC and a 3-run shot from Big Al…bout EFFFIN time!

    jrzinbatonrouge May 8, 2009 at 9:38 pm
  35. Only good things for us tonight are that Guthrie pitched very well after a bad first inning. And that Teixeira went 0-for-3 with three strikeouts, bringing his batting average down to .192

    coltsoriolesbullet May 8, 2009 at 9:39 pm
  36. We were robbed of a chance to KO Sabathia in the first, or at least get a couple of runs and rattle him with a horrible call at second on Adam Jones. After that, we couldn’t hit anything until the ninth inning.

    coltsoriolesbullet May 8, 2009 at 9:41 pm
  37. I don’t remember the last shutout pitched by a Yankee.

  38. Guthrie had a Jobesque start, Joe.He was dealin after the 1st.

    jrzinbatonrouge May 8, 2009 at 9:41 pm
  39. He slid over the bag, no?

  40. Pissy game for O’s fans tonight, but in the long run, if Guthrie has finally gotten his form back like last season, it will be a little easier to stomach. Guthrie had a season-high 8 strikeouts in only six innings.

    coltsoriolesbullet May 8, 2009 at 9:42 pm
  41. tag it & bag it Yankee fans! Just what the doctor ordered…that’s a big time performance out of CC…way to battle back in the 9th by striking out the meat of the Os order after yielding back to back singles to open the frame. Gotta build on this w/ the Hughesy tomorrow. Adam Eaton’s got a robust 7+ ERA, so hopefully that bodes well for the offense.

    supernaut924 May 8, 2009 at 9:43 pm
  42. No. He made a bad slide, because he did not hit the bag with his lead foot. He was still safe though, because his second foot still got there before the tag. A tie goes to the runner, and Jones actually beat the tag, even though he made a bad slide.

    coltsoriolesbullet May 8, 2009 at 9:43 pm
  43. The last complete game shutout for a Yankee was John Candelaria in 1988

    coltsoriolesbullet May 8, 2009 at 9:44 pm
  44. I mean Chin Mien Wang in 2006. I was close, though. Candelaria in 1988, Wang in 2006.

    coltsoriolesbullet May 8, 2009 at 9:46 pm
  45. shoe good to see you’ve lifted your self imposed moratorium on posting after Yanks/Os games.

    supernaut924 May 8, 2009 at 9:46 pm
  46. Candelaria in 88-lmao

  47. I’m in a win-win situation. if The Orioles win, I’m happy. And if The orioles lose, I get to talk to you guys.

    coltsoriolesbullet May 8, 2009 at 9:47 pm
  48. Kev hit the 2-for-3. See Lev? Not unwinnable.

    Reyes
    McLouth
    Roberts

  49. Now, if he hits the lottery too, I’ll shit.

  50. SUPER: I haven’t lifted anything. I said that i won’t post IF THE ORIOLES WIN. I always post when they lose to the Yanks.
