Yanks (14-15) win. Mets (15-13) win. Kev wins.
CC Sabathia busted out his “A” game while Alex Rodriguez shared his feelings on the first pitch. This is the game that CC can pitch and that’s what ARod does for a lineup. Talk about horses. It’s nice to see that ARod’s presence seems to back everyone back down to a more fitting spot in the lineup. Robbie Cano, struggling of late, batted seventh and collected two hits. Tonight, it’s Phil Hughes versus Adam Eaton.
Mike Mussina is coaching Little League.
Chad Jennings writes an excellent little piece on Ian Kennedy.
O’s Jeremy Guthrie has improved in May. In 14 innings, he has yielded 7 earned runs – however, he also struck out 11 batters while walking only 3. He is throwing strikes (131-212) and getting more groundouts than flyouts (20-10).
Mets keep a-rollin’, the streak is at five games and they improve to 15-13, nipping at Philly’s heels in the standings. Yes, I know it’s May. Jon Niese threw strikes and had an excellent spot start, going toe-to-toe with Yankee alumnus Jeff Karstens for six innings. Carlos Delgado is 8-for-17 with 7 RBIs in 6 games in May. His April wasn’t bad by a long stretch, a .250 batting average belied the fact that he batted in 16 runs. Today, it’s John Maine versus Paul Maholm.
Kev86 is the first winner of the 2-for-3, with his selections of Jose Reyes, Nate McLouth, and Brian Roberts. Hope that win doesn’t suck out any MOJO from the lottery ticket he went out to buy. But if he DOES win the Mega Millions, I have a great internet startup investment for him to consider. Ahead of the curve!!!

I’m out.
I’m out too. LETS GO METS!
k, if Kim will not succumb to your advances, there’s always Mrs. Met.

Get your shoppin done G? Levi has been way ahead of the curve so far.Mos velocity weeks ago.Kennedy and the anuerism as soon as he heard numb.
Gotta run the kid to work, back soon.
Yeah, got it done. When I heard the word on Kennedy, that’s the first thing I thought of,knew it couldn’t be good no matter what, but agreed on Levi.
Looks like the sox are gonna need one a dem big 6th innings.Lester has looked like a different pitcher this year.

If I wasn’t such a retard,I would have known that the Pukemeister was out.So I’m going with Pujols,Cano,Martinez
J,it’s nice to hear some good news once in a while.
And think how much more groomed he would be4 right now if he hadnt been out from March to August/Sept last year after that asshole from the rays ran him over at the plate in a ST game.
They just said on the sox/rays game that the sox will not hesitate to replace sloppy if he struggles into june
Yeah I thought of that.
Poppy’s gettin awful sloppy.I guess Manram took the stash with him.
At best he hits 25 this year, w/ out lookin at his #s, thats near what he was doing in Minny and that only a couple times. The spike in his #s might just be the most drastic of any player.
http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/o/ortizda01.shtml
That is some serious spiking. He hit more in his first 2 years with the beans than all of his years in Minn.I don’t think he smells 25 this year.I think he’s toast.
I was being generous but still have to respect that he might start a cycle mid season.
respect him meaning, if he starts up, which wouldnt shock me as pitiful as he has been, he would have to be respected at the plate.
He didn’t look too bad against the Yank’s.I guess that’s gettin it up for the big spot. Then again, maybe just shit pitch selection.I’m headin out for some grub bro, talk to ya later.
And not for nothin, but it aint gonna surprise me if/when pedros name pops up.look at him from 00 to 05.
Not his #s, I mean him.
yeah LB just saw May’s DP; great stuff bro.
Tonight: Tex, Braun, Votto for tonight. Rays punished Lester today…I said it a few days ago, I’ll say it again now: right now Longoria is the best player in baseball.
Cant argue with Longoria. You to 2 outta 3 the same as me tonight.I got H Ramirez and no Votto.
you got Braun & Tex jrz? Dopey (I mean) great minds think alike eh? :)
tee hee
Good luck Joe.
It was Tex’ right wrist, correct?
What the f is Cervelli doing? Little league, dude, it didn’t work then, won’t work now.
Man…lester got pummeled.
Way to back up a great start by CC….****** ******
Got a feeling we won’t be seeing shoeless tonight.
last time I tell Joe good luck.I will take the lumps for this one.
Wang coulda done this.
WTF,these guy’s get into msalles stash?
I coulda done this
HAHA
That just set the kid back 2 months.
Ya got that right.I thought he was getting ready to make his move.
Cant catch a break.
Coulda really used the double there.
I almost typed those exact words.Great minds!
I know they can score on this team, but I am afraid they got too deep.
They should be able to score big,but lately even if they get the big inning,it’s right back into hibernation.dazed and confused.
His bats should be registered as lethal weapons.
I should just go back to the gin mill.Nice pair of jugs behind the bar at least.
like my hands.
