I’ll wait the season out to see how many more get hit over the whole year. Even if the pitching has something to do with it, Jrz may be onto something with taking rows out and moving back a bit. They could always jack up prices in the steak house to make up for it.
To be fair most of the jacks hit on this recent home stand have been legitimate pokes that would have been out in any other MLB park. But c’mon in what 22 games they’ve been 85 HRs hit already? That’s a lot of dingers in not too many games.
Levi wait till the Nats come in next month! What can’t be denied is HRs are flying outta there at an alarming rate, for whatever the reason…lousy pitching, bandbox…probably a bit of both. Papelbon is just a punk fuckin jackass….him & Youkakdick make Manram look magnanimous by comparison. BTW does anyone think Jason Bay resembles John Olerud?
Yeah Supe- I don’t know whether I was happier to see the Mets win or the Red Sox lose. They are a punk group to watch.
The balls are definitely flying out and it is probably a combination of both but I don’t think the pitching, or lack thereof, is getting enough of the blame.
Nothing brings me greater pleasure in sports than watching the Red Sox lose. Let’s see if the brand names Sabbats & Hamels can keep some balls in the yard tomorrow.
you feel comfy spedin my scratch, huh?….just kiddin.I will talk to ya before the game tomorrow, I hope.Hopefully you got some kinda memorial day shit goin onm…….later
Pettitte said it’s only the pitching if you make a mistake, and they put the barrel of the bat on the ball, then out it goes. You can’t learn that stuff in engineering school. I think bad pitching has to get some blame, agreed. 75% is bad pitching and 75% is the new Cape Carnaval in the Bronx.
A construction engineer mentioned it’s a lot easier and cheaper to move seats in, moving the fences back is costly, messy and time consuming. Another engineer said it’s the big scoreboard blocking the wind. Maybe close up those vents in the arch windows. Or not. It’s Sosa/ Mcguire all over again. Hey they cut out three HR’s on Sat. it’s getting better.
The last two teams to win the World Series played in Band Boxes, Boston in 07 and Philly in 08.
Even Jeter has a chance at the HR record now, especially with that inside out swing. Randy Levine and Lonn Trost are geniuses.
"During my 18 years I came to bat almost 10,000 times. I struck out about 1,700 times and walked maybe 1,800 times. You figure a ballplayer will average about 500 at-bats a season. That means I played 7 years without ever hitting the ball." - Mickey Mantle
I am still not convinced about the launching pad.

toyota of manhatten needs to change their copy. gotta admit using schneider was a mistake already.
later.
METS IN 09!
Doesn’t make sense to have 2 right handed hitting catchers.

Unless their names are Fisk and Bench.
Twins, Yankees, Orioles, Indians have all been there this year. ALL at the bottom in MLB in pitching.
Rays and Phillies have also come to town and they are near the bottom as well.
Chicken and the egg- Is it the Stadium leading to bad pitching or the other way around?
6 of the 8 teams, including the Yanks, that have given up the most runs in baseball have played at the Stadium so far.
the papelbon hissy fit is getting play on espn.
MLB too J. That was ridiculous. This guy has to get knocked down a couple of pegs.
Mitch Williams just commented that he was taking out his frustrations and that he should just stay in the dugout.
I will say this about Theo, he is great at picking punks who can play.
douchebags
If the Brewers get Peavy, it is a game changer in the NL Central.
They can have him. I love these guys who have million, or, 15 million dollar arms and no guts to pitch in the big city.
I got the TV on mute, I got the beats going.Anybody that defends him is a complete JO.
There was a lot of disgust over on MLB.
GOOD

all BS aside, piss getting hit last nght and papsmear getting spanked tonight…..I owe you guys.
Stata buon friends..always a pleasure. Good night & God bless.
It was worth the entertainment value alone right? Never mind the game they picked up.
You should drive up to Atlanta and buy a couple of rounds up there for taking out the Blue Jays twice too.
Supe- goodnight
J- You have a good one too, I’m out.

Another tremendous win by the Mets..!!.
