Yanks have the best record in the league in 1-run ballgames at 8-2 (runner-up is LAD at 9-3; no one else is even close). I don’t go back far, but I have never seen a Yankee team walk off this many games. I’m glad I left the NYDN pages leaving everybody thinking I was Melky’s biggest fan (actually, I led the lynch mob to Melky’s locker last year, but that’s besides the point). Can’t say enough about what Alex Rodriguez is bringing to this team right now. For those that watch closely these last few years, he even looks like a different person, as if he’s trying to ignore the camera – surely a monumental feat for His Alex-ness. No, I don’t care that he’s batting .200.
Tampa is a chosen destination these days.
I humbly bestow upon the Mets the title of “Honorary Yankees”. Kind of like Jrz said (incidentally, he’s our second winner EVAH of the 2-for-3 and doesn’t seem to stop winning):
Gas and tolls: $55
Admission Ticket and Parking: $125
Beer and Hot Dog: $25
Pegging KY and tattooing Papelpout while watching those New England babies lose their collective composure not being able to scratch out a series win versus the 86ers: PRICELESS. Go to the “Mets win” link above, click on the “Wright Saves the Day” video link to see Castillo weather a nasty Youkilis slide for the out and Jon Papelbon lose his mind. Hard to understate what it could mean psychologically to the Red Sox and their fans to drop a series to the Mets as the bruises are just starting to soften from Manny’s dethroning. The Boston toilet may have just been flushed.
Eeesh…K-Rod collapsing…

Twins down by 2 now vs Boston.
Yeah Mac. Keeping Miggy would be my call with those arms.

Thanks for the advice, Kev and Levi. I had a guy offer me Lidge for BJ Upton last week. I spit on Lidge. Got him to give up Zimmerman for Upton with A. Ramirez out for me.
At what point are “Alex Rios” and “unfilled potential” mentioned in the same sentence?
Nice trade there.
Ive heard “Winfield Jr.” in the past.
On Rios Kev?
The youngster staring down the CG SHO
101 pitches. Send him out for 9.
Come on Joe. This is the way you pump the kid up!
FLAT BREEZY just got another save. I have to update his statistics…
yes
Shirley in for the Rangers.
Sux- Twins lining up for a Mauer win in the ninth PH for Buscher.
FLAT BREEZY’S last NINE aspperances:
IP: 9
H: 3
R: 0
ER: 0
BB: 4
SO: 12
ERA: 0.00

Good win Shoe. There go the Blue Jays.
JASON BERKEN is being called up from AAA-Norfolk to start tomorrow’s games! He’s the second of “The Big Nine” that will make his Oriole debut this season. Berken joins Brad Bergesen.
Yes on Rios as “Winfield Jr.”
No CG for Hughes.
Why does Flaherty think Cash deserved hit on that because of game he caught/called with Hughes? That doesnt make sense.
THE BIG NINE:
BRAD BERGESEN
JASON BERKEN
CHRIS TILLMAN
DAVID HERNANDEZ
BRIAN MATUSZ
TROY PATTON
JAKE ARRIETA
BRANDON ERBE
CHORYE SPOONE
Look out for The Orioles in 2011!!!
Why pull Phil?
Gotta run guys. Have a good one.
Gotta say, I missed Citi Field more than I thought I would.
LETS GO METS!
Thats fucked up they didnt let the kid have his.
I have Nelson Cruz on my fantasy team. Nice. Thanks Joe G!!
I would rather see a HR there more than a BB
Shoe- Time for Wieters. Get him the experience now. Zaun is an automatic out at this point. Wieters can only be helped by the fact that there is no pressure on them.
Joe just told the kid “I don’t think you can go out and get them 1,2,3 and breeze in the ninth so I’m taking you out now.”
He should have given him the chance. If it’s 5-0 instead of 10-0, I bet he would have let him go out for the ninth.
What is the Yankees biggest need in 2010?
Corner outfielder.
Not cool. That kid has been thinking about that game since he left the no-no a couple years back. The CG SHO could have done nothing but good things for the boy.
What a day for T&A!!!!!!
Who could they get for Wang?
Wieters isn’t ready yet. He needs another month in AAA. Wieters is only hitting .288 at AAA-Norfol after hitting .365 at Advanced-A fredercik and AA-Bowie last season.
Zaun started the season at .120, and now he’s hitting .220. Zaun also has hit a alot of hard balls that outfielders have caught deep. Zaun is also excellent behind the plate. Wieters will be up after The All-Star break.
Let him learn from Zaun on the big club while no one expects him to compete. I hope we see him after the break.
If he is hitting .286 when they bring him up, were they just keeping him down to control him?
They aren’t going to get value for Wang right now.
Sux ruined my Mauer scenario by scoring 1 in the top of the ninth.
The Braves signed Chipper to a 3 year extension to not even play every other day? I’m still trying to understand that contract.
He wont be traded anyhow. He aint making much and they will not give up on him, well, it will take alot more.
I wouldn’t give up on him. The guy has won too many ML games in a short amount of time to trade him for nothing.
If Melky is for real it will make next years OF situation alot easier.L to R, Melky, AJax and a FA looks good to me.
No, they sent him to AAA because he had less than a year of pro ball. It was a good move, as he is doing pretty good, but not tearing up the league. Nolan Reimold is up, and here to stay.
Reimold, Jones, Markakis= scary
Be careful how you treat the Wang.
mac, I loves me some Pinks !
Orlando Hudson is still hitting .346 on Memorial Day-ouch
Yeah J- Stop beating your Wang.
Kubel singles off Papelbon
Its my Wang and my soap and I will wash it as long and fast as I see fit.
They just overreacted by bringing him off the DL on Firday. Wang should have stayed with SWB for a couple of more starts. Now what do they do with him?
Spirit, nothing like that place. The line is crazy but it is worth it. One Three Dog Night and I am full for a week. Pinks and Nozawa are musts when in LA.
I was watchin that today too you fat fucks.
Good point Mac on overreaction, especially on a 9 game win streak.
