A.J. Burnett danced around the Rangers for six innings and they couldn’t get a good punch in. Chien-Ming Wang has progressed to mopping up in Texas. Mark Teixeira does no wrong. Derek Jeter has a hit in 37 of 47 games this year, and is 10-1 in stolen base attempts. Melky Cabrera may hit the DL. Tonight, it’s Pettitte versus Cliff Lee.
Hey Gary Sheffield, don’t hurt yourself coming home – we got replay now! Dan Murphy is “electrifying”. Johan Santana took it easy and gave up three runs in six, good for win number seven. Tonight, it’s Sean Lee versus El Giraffe.

7 of the 10 Varitek HR at home.
Yeah, I love Miggy too. I was high on him from day 1 this season. But, Big Al is so damn productive. I think Cain is going to do well all year but Price isn’t a bad replacement. And I can always stream two start pitchers which I haven’t been able to do beacuse all my starters are really good in that league. I think I have to pull the trigger for Big al. Thanks for the feedback.
Hey Levi, actually Pujols is logging in right now at 223 fpts and Miggy is at 180 fpts. Pretty big difference, especially if I can replace Cain with Price or two start pitchers. Know what I mean.
I hear you. Tough to pass up Pujols. How much better does Cain make the other guy’s rotation?
pujos at 217 and miggy at 170 in my league. decent difference. miggy has him by 20 in hits but pujols has him by 20 bb’s, 7 sb’s and 4 more homers.
His rotation is a mess. He has Greinke and Cueto but that’s about it. Even without Cain I have Halladay, Felix, Weaver (LAA), Kershaw, and Price.
If I may, cant pass on Big Al, Mac. I believe his AVG will definitely climb while Miggy may be at his ceiling. Big Al is a complete package and will get you more points in the long run. Like Lev syas, if you do not help his rotation, pull the dam trigger.
Then again, you can do the complete opposite of what I think and hit a bulls-eye!
I want IN on this radio show! “M4 at 4!
At least a future hopeful got Kingmans #26.
I was patient with Wieters. Looking forward to telling Yadier Molina not to let door hit him in ass on way out.
Kev -I scooped up Inge when Geo Soto was tanking. Who woulda thunk it!
Thanks, Mets. Yeah, I think I have to do it. There isn’t any offensive player like Big Al, unless Ibanez keeps up his hitting. Whodda thunk that?
Mets4 – Nice use of “scooped up”.
Nice to be in first place on an “idle night”.
Bring on the Marlins!
“FUCKIN WAKE UP WITH JRZ” DRIVETIME BITCHES!
Get W’s, Get Healthy!
$th in pitching but our lack of the long ball is hurting the RBI. LAD have 2 fewer HR’s but almost 50 more RBI. Thats alot to be said for our lack of hitting with RISP!
We could sure use some wind!
What a creeper!
Easy to get wind, Mets. Just hire Randy Levine when he is let go from the Yanks in a couple of Mets. Instant wind.
Levine —hehehe
wind shmind…what your team needs is some balls.
mets4 – beware of cream pies.
mets need a WB mason sponsorship in RC and to bring the wall in 50 feet.
We should be refered to as “The Platoon” till further notice. Only 2 mohicans left, holding down their position! Wes hould be killing this Effin division. Seriously!
Can we say Murph gave Johan a win back yesterday. He owed him at least one from that Marlin loss early in the year.
Take it easy guys. Have a good one.
Mets In 09!
Later Kev!
FMart told reporters, “I don’t know why that happened, but I promise it’s never going to happen again.”
That’s good enough for me. Let’s bat him in the 3 hole!
I’m sure it sounded more like “I no no why da appyn bud I promee e’s neber going appyn a gang!”
The only problem Mets is Janish from Mets Today was at the game last night and said F Mart did the same thing on the fly ball he hit and didn’t start running till it looked like it might fall. It was caught but just as Cohen and Darling were saying “he won’t do that again” he did it again and nothing was said on the broadcast.
He said Castro did the same thing on his double. He didn’t start running until he was 75′ down the line.
I poked over at JJ’s blog earlier Lev. I caught a link on the side form Cerone and word is, Howie Rose was going bananas. Hey, whatever flak he gets, I cant argue. It’s definitely not the impression I was hoping for, especially right out of the gate. Although I don’t think punishment is warranted just yet, I think he should be on a short leash till he proves he’s a gamer! I don’t care WHAT the scouts say.
I know you are leading me in the direction of JERRY but let’s pretend I didn’t catch on, huh? LOL
No I wasn’t even thinking of Jerry there. They aren’t the only ones in baseball doing it. I thought Jerry handled it well last night and I’m sure he “scolded” him after the game. I was willing to let the kid use his “Get out of Jail” card the first time but to do it again later in the game really bothers me. The kid hasn’t even had a cup of coffee yet and he does that?
Now if he keeps doing it, then it is on Jerry-ahahahahaha
I’ve got to step out for a bit. Talk to you guys later.
LOL . Happy travels bud!
Kev did you compare me to Beningo? Ach! That’s it 8% for you on that mortgage for your SI home.
Wake up with Jrz. I’d listen.
Zambrano gets suspended 2 starts after coming off the DL with his team reeling. You can’t make this stuff up.
Watching the Dodger-Cub game on MLB and listening to Plesac and his Chicago/Minnesota/Midwestern accent is starting to wear on me and it is the top of the second inning.
Late Night with St. Lou
The Orioles won again. They are 6-1 in their last 7 games.
DAVID HERNANDEZ of “The Big Nine” made his major league debut. He gave up one run in five and two thirds innings for the win.
THE ORIOLES became the first team in 119 YEARS to have FOUR starting pitchers all win their major league debuts in their first start:
KOJI UEHARA
BRAD BERGESEN
JASON BERKEN
DAVID HERNANDEZ
OOOOOOOOO No! Here come The Orioles!!!
