CC Sabathia loves it when the rain breaks that heat. Brett Gardner went deep to right, among other things. Gonna just let that one float out there. Ramiro Pena, Gardner, and Francisco Cervelli are just plain fun to watch. Hot Rod.
Mets threw away a doozy, and Yanks said “why, thank you”. Mike Pelfrey didn’t actually pitch that badly. Is Nick Evans a first baseman? You are allowed to come off the bag, Nick.
They play three in this series. Game 2 is tonight.

Cheyenne Woods looks remarkably like her famous uncle ….. from the neck up, that is. Below the neck, she looks like her uncle’s mechanic.
WOW, 29-1 in the last 27 innings.
I forgot to mention … on that point about degenerate gamblers? I’ve been one of them. I learned my lesson on baseball though. Now I stick to football, but just like J, I stay away from my Giants. I just CANNOT see them objectively.
Last 27 innings of Yankees-Mets baseball = 29 to 1.
J!!!!! GMTA!!!!
I rarely bet baseball myself…have enough trouble trying to cap CFB & the NFL. But I recall a game last year I did bet. I had gotten out of the gate slow on the CFB…was down like a few hundred…threw a straight bet on CC & the Brewers giving 1 1/2 runs to the Bucs in Pitt. It was the game he threw the 1 hitter…the one Yost actually protested to MLB because he was trying to get the one hit CC gave up to be called an error.
thats right.
Correction … now I stick to football and the ponies and of course the old “let’s make this interesting” golf wagers
Native I’ll tell ya who looks like they could be a live dog in the right spot: Baylor. They got an exciting QB in Robert Griffin who’ll be a sophmore this season. Won’t take them as a dog within the Big 12, but I’ll look for a spot where they’re a home dog (preferably double digits) out of conference.
Didya see the moonshot Jason Werth hit today vs the Jays?
sure did native…quite the drive.
supe, tx, I’ll be keeping any eye on Baylor.
I’m actually listening to a tennis player at Wimbledon (Jankovic) talking on espn about how her period contributed to her defeat (“It’s not easy being a woman”). TMI.
Native, that word isnt allowed here.We say “moons”
Moons … got it.
The 2009 Al Rookie Of The Year hit his ninth home run of the year tonight… And he spent the first month of the season at AAA-Norfolk.
