Redding Five Pitches Away from Shutout

Yanks win, Mets lose.

Sooner or later, you just knew the Mets would run into a team catching fire and show just how depleted Jerry says they are.  Those fences don’t look so far back.  It’s always good to win, but I would rather that CC and A.J. save it for the Sox.  Would I trade a sweep by the Mets to get those games back from Boston?  You bet your sweet patooty I would.

Tonight, it’s CM Wang vs. Livan “El Caballo” Hernandez.

  1. Frankie doesn’t look too happy to be out there.

  2. What is Rivera’s On-Base-Percentage now?

  3. Nat, I don’t think Cano is tough enough yet.

  4. Has anybody ever seen anything like that before?

  5. Oh shit, Rivera’s OBP is .500 for the season. No wonder why K-Rod walked him. Better that than give him a 2-run single.

  6. .333 Joe

  7. K-Rod probably would have gotten Derek Jeter to hit a long fly ball for an out if he had pitched to him. Sometimes you get a little too cute for your own good.

  8. When his parents were training him, they never taught DANIEL MURPHY to “roll over.”

  9. 500 saves. The Brass Ones were there! Vs. the Mets!

  10. Anybody catch Mo’s interview wih espn? It was unremarkable, except for two consecutive questions. They ask Mo, “Is there any reliever out there today better than you?” And he modestly names maybe 7, 8 guys who might be, including Papelbonehead.

Then the interviewer says that Papelbonehead was recently quoted as saying that he could see himself be the closer for the Yankees one day, what did Mo think of that? Mo’s friendly smile disappeared and he said, “He’s gonna have to wait till I retire. Not while I’m here.”

  11. How many saves would SPARKY LYLE have had if it had been considered “heroic” to get a four-out save when he was pitching ?

  12. “We’ll get there pop, we’ll get there!”

    Buenas! Manana!

  13. Manana, Mets. New day.

500 saves. Wow. And also a highlight was Bloomberg picking his nose with Castillo batting.

  14. CMW gets rid of that goose egg!

  15. Pardon, Cano was batting.

There isn’t enough coke in Columbia to get Papelbon that job!!!

Later, fellas! You got junk, then protect it!!!

  16. Ron Bloomberg was at the game tonight ? Wow.

  17. G’nite fellas.

    Sorry M4.

Up yours, Straw Omar Chucky, wherever you are.

  18. Looks like they’re gonna replay that, Nat. I really should sleep. Maybe I’ll catch on the internets tomorrow. Thanks for looking at, Nat!! See ya!

Later Shoe, J, a sweep! I’m happy like a clam on demerol!

  19. Shoe, Orioles gonna get hot in the second half. Watch.

  20. Who’s rooting for The orioles tomorrow ???

    coltsoriolesbullet June 29, 2009 at 12:13 am
