Ex-Met Braden Looper held his old team to a couple of runs ove six innings, and got plenty of support. Mets sink a game below .500 – but are still only three games behind the Phillies and a half behind the Marlins. Lot of baseball left to play. I think the worst has already happened to the Mets.
Tonight, the Yanks throw Joba against Seattle’s Morrow and the Mets throw Santana for game two.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, THE RED SOX’ DEFENSE all walked off the field WITH ONLY TWO OUTS. They were all laughing and chuckling when the umpire informed them that there were only two outs, and that they had to come back out for the third out of the sixth inning.
The Red Sox WERE NOT LAUGHING AND CHUCKLING at the end of the game !
Oh, those Red Sox were realy laughing it up in the seventh inning, when they were up 10-1.
Ten runs, and two innings later, NOBODY in The red Sox’ dugout was smiling when HEORGIE BOY SHERRILL struck out JASON BAY for the final out of the game, and an 11-10 Orioles win.
