I was hoping the yankees would take a look this winter, they never did. From what I read Sanchez doesn't have a go to pitch and is suited better as a reliever. He seemed to go to something to pitch a no hitter, and with Johnson getting hurt the giants may have pulled him off the block. He also is arbitration eligible after 09, and that limits who will go after him. I would take a look, Cashman probably has insider info on Sanchez, and there might be more to it. Giants need a power bat. I like Hinske and if Pena comes up the bench is getting shored up. 2 HR's yesterday for Hinske is a power bat.
