Hideki Matsui is a Los Angeles Angel of Anaheim. Arigato-gozai-mashita Matsui-san!!
Roy Halladay is a Phillie. Cliff Lee is a Mariner. A bunch of scrubs-to-be-named -later are Blue Jays. John Lackey and possibly Mike Cameron are Red Sox. Matt Holliday will probably still be a Cardinal. Jason Bay is still up for grabs.

The Red Sox have an 11:30am ET press conference scheduled to announce the Cameron signing and a second press conference at 1:30pm ET to announce the Lackey signing.
( thought some of you could have fun on the Herald after those)
mets means “swallows” in Japanese
swallows, hahahahah.
Kev: Omar in DN today telling Mets fans to be patient. we have been mes fans a long time, isnt that our nature to be miserable and patient. Be patient fans Bengie is coming.
yeah ghost..we shouldnt overreact to other blockbuster deals and major free agent signings. omar has a plan.
i can heasr hom rattling off “if healthy” statistics already after we sign a bunch of swallows.
Omar’s already doing that with “we need pitchers pitching to their potential.” hey dumbass – - they already are. You have 3 .500 number 4/5 pitchers in the rotation with Ollie, Pelfry and Maine. thats the best they will be.
amazin how 2 mil per sounds like nothing too. i remember when the mets signed george foster to 2 mil. he might have been first two million dollar man. played like a two dollar stiff. he practically stood in the on deck circle in the “batters box”. sweet sideburns though.
Funny how things work out over time…
The Pirates had the chance to obtain Cliff Lee, Franklin Gutierrez and Kelly Shoppach from the Indians for Bay and Ronny Paulino before they sent their left fielder to Boston.
if memory correct, ozzie was first 2 million man.
Foster was the hitting coach at manhattan for a couple of years when we played them. He was still in great shape and a scary mfer
wp eating my posts
had a jack nicklaus like voice.
dont ya have copy regrets after wp eats a post?
he was a lot less scary after he started talking
later fellas
Still not comfortable about Holliday, with Damon not re-signed by the Yanks.
Now that Matsui is gone, if the Yanks were to not sign Sunny D, and Holliday’s offer is indeed $16 million ( although I believe it’s 5 yrs., not 8 ), the Yanks would be saving money by signing Holliday ( over Matsui / Damon ).
They would get younger, better, and cheaper.
Arent we about due for a couple of names to be leaked from that 2003 steroid list?
that list is a buzz kill
We might not get any names right now but you know there will be one or 2 right before ST. I know varitek is on that list
sox titles are tainted.
last legit WS was in 86.
86, funny. What was the old joke about daryl trying to snort the RF line? In order to find a team that didnt have somebody on something I think we would have to go back to the 1800s and I bet they were a bunch of drunks. I am personally convinced that the juice goes back to the 70s at least. As a matter of fact, I am a little curious about what kind of shot it was that made The Mick miss the last games of the ’61 season.
leave it to the Dirt Dogs to drag up Cameron’s PED use. Camy and Papi can swap HGH recipes now
Mike Scott almost fucked us scuffen the ball that year with his nasty splitter. Thats the kind of cheating I can respect. Old school.
Aroid has the good shit.
NEW THREAD!!!!
