OFFICIALLY, The CRIME RATE and The MURDER RATE in New York City are both at an all-time low………
ESSENTIALLY, that is the biggest bunch of horseshit that has been claimed since the white man told the Indians ‘We are your friends.” And it doesn’t mean a FUCKING THING to people who actually LIVE in New York City, and have to deal with these harsh realities every day of their lives.
Ellen, my son in California watched the game he said on tv and says Fenway was full even as cold as it was. Goes to show you how crazy hockey fans can be. As for riding bicycles from Philly to Boston that is sick in this cold snowy weather, well each to there own. By the way Happy New Year!!!
Sal, if you stop in, I was in the Apple store in the mall the other day. Some of the stuff they have in there is completely out of control. The shit looks like it comes off of spaceships. I mean, I wouldnt be able to do anything more with it than I do with this one, which is talk about the Yankees, make bad jokes and say fuck, not always in that order, but all of the apple stuff looks cool.
Saw the 25 HR stuff, too funny. Cameron has hit 25 once in the last 6 years, Martinez has done it once in 8 years, sloppy will probably get there and piss too but even they arent locks. The dwarf has never hit 20 but will this year according to bobby even though he only hit 17 with a still feared sloppy hitting in front of him.Ellsbury and scooter are gonna combine for 25-30 but have only 1 10HR year between them. Ya just cant make this shit up.
J the apple stuff is very good. It’s very easy to use, and virus free, it’s also very expensive, but i wouldn’t go back to a windows operating system ever, so I’m hooked. they just recently fixed a problem I had in a 3 1/2 yr old iMac and it’s running great. They upgrade the operating system a lot which is a drag, after 3 or 4 years you have to upgrade with them or some of the new stuff won’t work. I just bought a wireless express router, with my rebates etc I paid 60 bucks for it, my airport extreme wireless router spit the bed after 3 1/2 years ( $200), but this little sucker is working great. I have a studio about 120 feet from my house and I get signal in there wireless. Here’s the deal it would cost your close to $1200 for a very nice iMac desk top, if you went with the mac mini for $600 and a monitor you can come in for around $1000. A laptop i have a macbook pro i take with me on the road, and it also doubles as my brain for pro-tools music software is around 12 to 15 hundred depending on how fast you want to move. I have 3 external drives so I keep the computers clean and drop all the extraneous stuff on the external HD’s, they’re all fire wire so the stuff transfers very fast. You can also look into refurbished mac rigs, but i can’t give any feed back on those. The bottom line mac and all computer companies are full of shit. They preach ergonomics but they continue to upgrade so your rig becomes out dated, and useless and trashing them is not environmentally friendly. Long story longer for what you need I’d look into an iMac desktop all in one unit, they probably come with 2 gig of memory and 2 gig processor with snow leopard operating system, so you won’t need to upgrade like i did from jump street. I also recommend the apple care package, free help an replacement parts for 3 yr’s, tack on another $300 but it’s a must have, not all the rigs are free of quirky problems So if you have a $1500 budget you’ll be set for 3 to 4 years. It’s like buying an expensive FA, yeah it’s expensive but it’s worth the pain. IMO.
J…. Pedroia averages and I’ll give them the .5%, 11 HR’s a season, Ellsbury 10, Scutaro 6, Cameron 17, Youkilis 16, V-Mart 14, Drew 18, Pops 24… better not let the metrics guys get a hold of that slide ruler or those 25 hr projections for their line-up will be left by the wayside.
J.. the first link is the iMac, checkout the 21.5″ that one has plenty of koon-younze, unless you want a big screen. plenty of processor power and storage right out of the box
The 2nd link is the mac mini, it’s tiny but again it has plenty of on board storage 160 g and good processors. the $599 model would be the one to look at for your needs. You can add a flat screen monitor at best buy or anywhere you can get a good deal. the mini is one way to get into mac for under a $1000, depending on how fancy of a monitor you want, not counting the apple care package…
they both have enough ethernet and usb inputs to keep you in good shape if you want to use external Hard drives..
J an external Hard drive is storage space. Whenever you download music, photos, DVD, any type of files that you want to save that come in your e-mail it takes up space on the storage drive in your computer. The more junk on your computer hard drive the slower your computer will operate. If there are files you want to save but don’t want to slow down your system you just drag those files to the external drive and drop it in.
You connect the hard drive to your computer with a usb cable or a firewire cable, firewire is a faster transfer, the link I dropped has a bunch of different sizes and models. For what your doing the $80 HD would work. Remember the Imac has 160 to 300 Gig already so you can store a bunch of stuff on the computer and don’t need any more storage. I download a lot of music, and a lot of 24 track live recordings, that eats up 4 or 5 gig per folder, so I use the external drives. I like keeping 3 or 4 windows open at all times so the faster my rig runs the easier it is for me to navigate around.
I like to back up all my music and photos on the external, that’s the real function of an external to back up your system against crashes. I’ve lost HD’s before so i stay away from the cheaper models.
"During my 18 years I came to bat almost 10,000 times. I struck out about 1,700 times and walked maybe 1,800 times. You figure a ballplayer will average about 500 at-bats a season. That means I played 7 years without ever hitting the ball." - Mickey Mantle

Morning, sportsfans.
Big NFL day today, and for the first time in my life I am rooting for the Giants AND the Cowboys.
Take a taste.
Good morning fellas and gals.
Jennings posted a question yesterday and 3/4 of the way through he answered his own question http://yankees.lhblogs.com/2010/01/02/if-granderson-and-gardner-were-swapped/
And MLB.Com had an article a few days ago about the top 10 story lines this upcoming season. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20091231&content_id=7864428&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb
Apologies if this is old news, those curves are slippery in this northeast weather
I can’t get used to writing 2010, I bounced three checks so far in the last two days.
I’d put ( keep ) Gardner in LF.
Unless he didn’t want it, I think it was bullshit for Girardi to take Granderson’s number.
They are running out of shit to write at LoHud.
Definitely bullshit, unless Granderson didnt want it Lou.
The Colts.

yeah it’s tough out there J, the only thing we have goin this morning is making fun of Boblit’s 25 HR projection for half his line-up hahahaha

Headed to the gymnasium, catch up with ya later.
JRZ will be 6’0″ and 193 pounds by Memorial Day. It won’t stop there. He’ll be 6’0″, and 188 pounds by the end of the 2010 summer.
