Johnny Damon is Divine

Dear Bri,

The tears are streaming down my face as I write this.  Life is sooooo hard.   I couldn’t believe my ears when Scottie told me what you told him, and that was what you said that I said Scottie said to me.  I mean, REALLY NOT COOL.

I don’t understand why are you are being so childish with my/your feelings.  I deserve much more than what you did to Hidecki what-his-name.  And Randy Winn is soooo old.  I mean, come on.

Why don’t you listen to reason?  Everyone who’s anyone thinks that we should be together again.

At least whell always have my “dash” to third base.

Yours…4ever!

Johnny

  1. Spirit, your movie was on Movie Channel last night

  2. Checked out your thread over there J, have to pop in more often and check on the Jobanos.

FanLaughs is the most retarded site ever. There is just no way other way to say it.

  3. you wanna gimmie a summary of that novel, Lib

  4. bunts = bad

  5. pardon bunts = bad, blah blah blah math.

  6. thats what I figured, thanks

  7. Yes but reading it is half the fun.

My eyes are closing here…later man.

  8. Putz is a bitch that sucked balls last year. Fuck him and his dumb last name. He came to the big apple and stunk because his arm was weak and it led to multiple injuries.

    Morning all.

  9. Saw some good clips on Reyes working out yesterday. Biggest key on the ring for Amazins this year is the health of Jose Jose Jose. 200 hits outta Jose translates into a bunch more wins in 2010. BELIEVE!

  10. Would Pelfrey, FMART, Pagan be enough for Arrojo and the nice chunk of change he is owed the next couple years? Just playing GM and wondering out loud.

  11. Have a good day fellas.

No crying like a Putz today and as LB would say, make it a fiber filled day.

Am I the only one that thinks the Mets are going to be good this year??? I BELIEVE!!!! LETS GO METS GO!

  12. I’d like to boil that fuckin groundhog in his own bile for seeing his shadow…and to answer your question from your previous post kev, yes you’re the only one that thinks the Mets will be good in 2010, which will make your “I told you clowns so back in January” even sweeter if the Mets do actually end up being good in 2010.

    Make it a productive Tuesday!

  13. A stopped clock is right twice a day Supe.

  14. Mmmwwwaaahhh I hear ya Lev…and how are things w/ you this morning?

  15. How are you Supe?. Sorry I got back to you late on your question yesterday. I posted and ran and couldn’t answer for an hour.

  16. no sweat Lev…yeah I’m good…little slow @ work but I ain’t complaining…I’m sure there’s a few hundred thousand unemployed Americans out there that would trade places w/ me in a heartbeat. I didn’t know you & mac had a “falling out”. Was it a political thing? Cuz I know mac leans pretty heavily to the left as I recall.

  17. It was a left-right thing that took off when it hit the third rail issue.

  18. got it…oh well…too bad for him I guess. He’s a good Yankee fan & knows his stuff. We have our battles here but hopefully can all walk away civil @ the end of the discussion. Kev & I had some good battles back in the day on the DN.

  19. You mean to say mac hasn’t come around since your debate with him way back that day, on that subject that is contained in Lib’s title up at the top ^^^^^^^^???

I havent seen him at TDN either. That wonderful discourse might not have been the reason, Who knows?

  20. This Putz thing with the Mets is a sketchy story. I believe Putz when he says they didn’t give him a physical and didn’t want him to talk to the media about it. I think Janish’s analysis of it on MetsToday is spot on. What did they do last year? They got Rodriguez and Putz, 2 bonafide closers to shore up the pen which was their downfall in ’08. They had a brand new stadium and a hopeful yet skeptical fan base. They went into the season with Murphy in left for crying out loud and a questionable starting 5 not to mention a second baseman who looked like he was declining faster than the Dow. Putz was injured in the back half of 2008 and they don’t give him a physical in a 3 team 11 player deal? Very shady.

  21. Nat- He came back the next day and Nooger told him to go away and never come back. So, blame Nooger-ahahahahahahahahahahhahahahaha

  22. That’s funny Ghost. Last night Morosi, Rosenthal’s colleague at FoxSports said this-

    http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/minnesota-twins-joe-Mauer-020110

  23. Oh, ok …. hahahahahaha

  24. a lot of substance in that herald article??????? I guess they didn’t have enough viagra advertising today to fill the paper.

  25. Rosen wouldn’t make up thsi story – - he loves heart tugging movies and children

    http://wcco.com/bios/mark.rosen.anchor.9.313448.html

  26. Mauer will be 27 on April 19. Five years of catching and 5 Dhing? Will it even be that much? Morneau has 4 more years under contract. Maybe that is when Mauer goes to first.

If it happens, you have to give credit to the Twins for doing the right thing with the revenues from a taxpayer financed stadium. Lock up the hometown hero for his career and keep bringing up guys who let you compete every year. Good organization that might be very dangerous for years with money to spend.

  27. good point.

  28. The Twins are like the Gonzaga of MLB.

  29. Gonzaga is a good analogy Supe. Maybe Target Field makes them a legitimate threat to win the whole thing and not just the 4th best team in the playoffs.

Good drop on the Birds Ghost.

  30. Target Field in April and October isn’t necessarily attractive to FA’s though.

  31. I was thinking the same thing Lev…the bullseye’s gonna be pretty frosty in Apr & Oct. Could be a big time home field advantage in postseason though, especially if they draw an AL West team in the tournament.

  32. By itself, the Putz thing is his word against theirs, though they don’t deny everything he said.

But in the context of last season, and also with the Beltran thing …

The Mets will obviously be better, getting their guys back, by 15 maybe even 20 games?

But Omar should go. When the guy has to reassure the media that you’re still calling the shots, something’s not right.

  33. with the Mets recent track record of players medical blunders (Church, Reyes) I’m inclined to believe Putz’ side of the story.

  34. Listening to Kay and his sidekick La Greca talking about Castillo, Hudson and the Mets yesterday. They said the Mets are afraid to sign Hudson with the “Molina money” because they don’t want to be embarrassed when Hudson beats out Castillo for the job and Castillo is wasting away on the bench. I think they are more worried about signing him, him winning the job and then becoming a declining player himself. Then they have two second basemen owed $15-20 who aren’t producing.

Hudson was benched down the stretch and in the playoffs last year for Belliard. On top of that, why are the Nationals the only team that seems to have any interest in him?

Regardless of what FanGraphs says, Castillo can bunt behind Reyes and with Wright, Beltran and Bay behind him, those singles and obp become a lot more valuable. His defense as declined and dropped pop ups are the least of his issues but Hudson’s defense isn’t what it was either.

  35. It is very easy to fact check Putz’ story. Did he or didn’t he have a physical before the trade was completed. Even if the physical hadn’t shown anything at that point, the Mets didn’t do their due diligence by not giving him one for a player that missed 2 months the year before.

As far as Putz’ responsibility goes, he got smacked around pretty good in the WBC. He said his arm started bothering him in April. More questions than answers to this story. He pitched through it, he said, until he was afraid of hurting his shoulder from compensating and told them he needed to take care of it. By that time it was too late, the elbow was “blown out”.

  36. Some great Giant posts there J. He must really have the nose to the grindstone to not stop in.

  37. Nat- Omar should go but it is way beyond him now. The silver spoon really running the team is in way over his head.

  38. would hate to pick up today’s edition of USA Today while waiting for my flight @ the airport…

  39. Hey Supe did you like Neil Pearts rendition of the Hockey Night in Canada theme??

  40. G always makes me laugh.

  41. Supe- it makes you wonder what they are doing with all the revenue they are collecting for the outrageous idea of wanting to take a piece of luggage with you on a trip. Covering losses and ignoring pesky little things like maintenance. It’s close to the worst managed industry in the world.

  42. Especially for Supe – please ignore the Maple Leafs on his drums – Neil’s a homer *lol*

  43. Ach!! Unfortunately Canada I don’t have audio on my work computer so I’ll have to wait until tonight to listen…but I’m sure it’s great. Peart is one of my all time favorite drummers. Seeing him solo is worth the price of admission alone to a Rush show. Thought I saw a few other NHL team logos on the toms there besides the Leafs. I’m actually going to Rangers/Devs this Saturday. Oh joy. Slats did swing a good trade unloading Kotalik & Higgins for Jokinen.

  44. how much is mauer getting for 10 years?
