Spring Training Pictures (Care of Jrz)

Jorge Posada is ready already.

Jrz snapped some shots in the practice complex of some early scenes from pitchers and catchers, thanks to the Big Guy, and enjoy!

Easy swingin'

Head is right down on the ball. IMO Posada is a fine hitter.

Ready for another! Throw me the junk!

Thanks again to Jrz!

Make sure you hit Uncle Sal’s for more of the collection!  Great Yogi pics there as well.

  9. LB,I TOLD YOU TO SHOVEL THE WALK..HERE’S THE SHOVEL!!!!

  10. Lou, Kev had a healthy baby boy I believe it was Thursday morning. He’s a changed man, indeed.

I think it’s wonderful. Also, I am happy that the disembodied spirit of our beloved Babe Ruth finds this new technology – the internet – such a source of continual fun and entertainment.

  11. Good to see them pictures of Posada in the batting cage jrz took. Means the 2010 season is around the corner, April 4th can not wait. Again thanks for the pictures jrz, can’t wait for more.

  12. LB,this internet thing is only a fad,won’t last but a few years.By the way,my telephone is a rotary

  13. Babe I found your Spring Training shots, but the real point of this drop is for you to navigate this site, the spring training page is just a cover up. Are you old enough to remember the wrestler Ricky Starr?

    http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/multimedia/photo_gallery/0702/gallery.mlb.classic.spring.training/content.1.html?eref=sihp

  14. Wasn’t Ricky Starr a flamboyant Lymie??..or should I just say a fag?

  15. Sal,you notice even the brothers want a free pc of me.

  16. Mets signed Brian Schneid….I mean Rod Barajas. Better than Santos I guess.

  17. Babe, I noticed the brother with his arm next to your left shoulder bears quite a resemblance … check out the two noses!

  18. Just sayen.

  19. Babe I did notice you were PC in that ST photo. I’m not sure of Ricky’s sexual preference but my grandfather and I used to watch Wrestling every Wednesday night, not exactly Kimbo Slice

  20. This is even better or worse depending

  21. Nat,little resemblance but my crank is bigger.
    What’s 12″ long and white??
    NOTHING!!!
I used to go to the CYC and watch the likes of Stan the Man and Chief Jay go at it.I remember the BoBo Brazil/Paul Orndorff loser leaves town forever match.BoBo lost.I think he lost on purpose so he didn’t have to go back to Scranton

  22. do you remember Wild Red Berry ? the Fabulous Kangaroos? They were in the HayStacks Calhoun era

  23. Bruno Sammartino, Killer Kowalkski, and Antonino Rocca, along with the Dustin Pedroia-like wrestling midgets, were among my favorites.

  24. Bugsy McGraw was my favorite

  25. morning Fellas,
that was a good crop Nat, throw in Buddy Rogers and Seaman Art Thomas and we’re on the same page. Also Sweet Daddy Siki
Babe Bugsey is alluding me at the moment, but he looks like a fan fav for sure.

I’m in agreement with Sherman on this article about Vazquez

    http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/yankees/welcome_back_to_spotlight_CsBS3JuS4MJ3VuG5skxY7J

  26. Hey Sal-O – regarding RAB drop before, nothing new there. CC is a horse, AJ is up-and-down, Pet is old, Javy is a darkhorse. “It’s Joba’s to lose.” jeez I remember saying those exact words 24 hours before that article was printed. I’m a head case, I know.

  27. Nice Vazquez drop. I dig Joel Sherman. You know, he says that he is bucking the convential wisdom but he really isn’t, he’s giving reasons why Yankee fans should be optimistic about Vazquez. All optimism is metered, of course. In Vazquez you get different question marks than with the other four starters, but, that’s a good thing, to integrate both strengths and weaknesses IMO.

  28. Good morning to all of you! I was one of those fans who was not very happy at all with Vazquez the 1st time he was here and was glad to see him gone. I agree with Sherman being the number 4 starter is not going to be any easier for this time than trying to be the ace last time.Yankee fans basically don’t feel great about him after his last stint in the Bronx. HE is going to be watched closely by the fans, I hope this time he will come across for the Yankees and give them at least 200 good innings. For Vazquez the pressure is still on just like it is for JOBA AND Huges.

  29. Yanks grab Chan Ho Park 1.2M WTF I thought they were out of dough?
    http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/mlb/news/story?id=4935400

Yeah I hear you on the RAB drop Lib. I’m on a burn down the PECOTA building rampage, and I’m looking for a few good men to come with me

  30. Yank1 the part of that article that separates things somewhat IMO is the supporting cast JV had in the rotation at the time, a very unstable situation, I think we’re in better shape now. I’m feeling JV will be a good pick-up. I agree with you when I first head about the deal I was in my truck, I heard it on the radio I was shocked. The more I read about things the softer I’ve gotten on JV. The hype has sucker punched me for sure, I’m already on the JV bandwagon, it’s comfortable right now, tons of leg room, like flying business class, I hope it gets crowded when the season starts, I don’t mind riding in coach, just give my a pretty flight attendant and I’m all set.

  31. from lohud
As for why Park makes sense for a team that already seems to be overflowing with long relief options, Cashman said, “The more the merrier. You can never have enough.”
The Yankees 40-man roster is full, mean Park will have to take someone’s place. Chad Gaudin and Sergio Mitre are out of options, but Joba Chamberlain, Phil Hughes and Alfredo Aceves can be sent to the minor leagues.

  32. unkulsal I hope you are right,as a Yankee fan I want to see him succeed. Well i guess we just have to wait and see.

  33. As for Park, like you say going to be rough finding a spot for him, like Vazquez I guess will have to wait and see. Last year they went through a lot of relief pitchers, so I guess the more the merrier this year.

  34. NEW THREAD!!!
