  3. Sal suffice it to say you are firmly entrenched in dorky’s head…which is really not saying much since I’m sure that cranium’s pretty barren to begin with. But to lead w/ rant on you again right out of the box on a new article today shows just how much you’ve burned his toast. What’s more is it sounds like the rest of the Angry Wankers Club is getting a little tired of his nonsense as well. Let’s see if he follows his buddies advice & ignores your future posts. Crazy day today: ND, GTown & Vandy all say bye bye…good thing my cannonball run pool doesn’t count day #1!!

  4. Morning fellas
Supe that guy is a total loser and yes getting inside his head is nothing to write home about. He starts a war then wants his boys to bail him out. He won’t ignore me, he’s another Boston South End Tremont Street Queen Bee on that site. He’ll run that Nation Nazi blurb I wrote until he wears people out. Guys that make stats and baseball history up are dangerous, they can dish the anti Yankee/Met slanders, but can’t take it in return.

That was one of the best opening day Madness events in a long time. Robert Morris really outplayed Nova Nation but got jobbed on a few Ref calls then just ran out of players, they go 7 deep but losing all their guys killed them in the end.

Georgetown just got out hustled, Ohio wanted it more, and Monroe from what I’ve read has a tendency to not show up for 40 minutes, I was surprised Thompson Jr didn’t have their attention

St Marys with all the 1950′s style play made it reminiscent of an old style NBA game, they actually played out of set offenses, no shake and bake isolation, I almost forgot what old school hoops looked like, so thanks to them

Vandy was the chalk #4 to go down. K-St looked like they could beat the Knicks, I didn’t see the Kentucky annihilation, and my boys Marquette got beat at their own game in the last 10 seconds or so. I’m still alive with Final 4/final 8 teams but show me a person who’s bracket didn’t blow up yesterday. I didn’t see anybody pick St Mary’s and outside of suburban Pittsburgh nobody had RM beating GeorgeTown, I don’t think. Richmond was a flavor of the week also. I was expecting Baylor to have a rough game Sam Houston St took Kentucky deep at Rupp this yr. before losing..good luck today

Chan-Ho Park and D Robertson looked good last night. Too bad Colin Curtis will come back down to earth, 5 for 10, 2 HR’s, 7 RBI’s, two 3 run HR’s. Granderson still can’t buy a hit, Russo and Pena both look good. Posada was up to his old tricks with 2 passed balls, Georgie is a nightmare behind the plate

  5. Don’t forget the miscommunication on the swinging bunt in front of the plate that Jorge was slow getting out to, Vazquez waved him off on and then momentum kept him going toward Javier. Nightmare is an understatement. He did make a nice throw trying to get Crawford at second on a stolen base. He didn’t get him because Crawford stole the base on Javier but it was still a nice throw and made it a lot closer than it should have been.

  6. Lev I was in between the hoops and the Yanks and missed the bunt play, Posada does have a pretty good arm, those balls glancing off his glove, I don’t know, maybe he got crossed up. I don’t think the Rays were pitching too many guys we’re gonna see in the regular season. Did you hear the burnett interview with joe and evan? He really is trying to get on the same page with Posada, also nice to see Logan get Crawford. If Marte starts to pitch good, they have some decisions to make after the 5 starters. I think if Joba comes out and has another good outing he gets the gig, If Park pitches like he did last night, they might even be able to start somebody at AAA, or is that not on the radar?

  7. He’s been crossed up for 15 years Sal. He can hit though.

I didn’t hear the AJ interview but that is a story that will play on I think. They are going to lose Gaudin or Mitre because they are both out of options and won’t both go north. That’s the biggest decision if you ask me. They should start Hughes at AAA to keep him stretched out if Joba gets the 5th spot . They won’t.

  8. It’s unbelievable to me the way this game has changed, and not for the better. The bullpen used to be filled with failed starters now it is filled with first round draft picks. You pay starters all the dough and then turn the game over to a guy when it is on the line making less than the MLB average.

  9. When is Big Al gonna start to hit?

  10. Miranda getting alot of ABs. He aint doing anything with them but he is getting them.

  11. Cervelli making the most of his ABs.

  12. Ramiro Pena better watch his back.

  13. Cano can roll out of bed and go 3-4

  14. Levi–re: your comments on Posada. Although it’s unable to be substantiated, I do believe that Jorge has lapses of concentration. There are so many examples that point to it. Forgetting the count when at-bat. Absolutely horrendous baserunning, including failure to slide when it was obvious to do so. Vacating home to cover first when there’s a runner on third, and then having Jeter make a throw to the backstop because he wasn’t there. (Jorge explained that one as an “instinct” to back-up first when just the opposite is true).
I do believe that some of the passed balls/wild pitches happen because he himself forgets the pitch that he’s called. I thought that last night.
All that said–he is a very successful “guess” hitter –even with two strikes he guesses.
A cerebral guy like Mussina had a distinct reason for not wanting him back there when he pitched. He will never tell you why, though.

  15. Posada, Jeter, Big Al and Mo are the only 4 players on the Yankees that were on the team when Javy was here in 04.

  16. Vazquez gave up 33 longballs in 2004.

  17. that 33 was only good for 5th in the AL that year. Them balls sure were wound tight back then…
