I Love L.A., Mets Keep Power Surge Churning

Yanks win, Mets win.

For those who believed in their team, congrats – you saw the Yanks pull out all the stops for a tenth-inning victory last night.  The Dodgers bunted their way around the bases as throws caromed around foul territory.  That’s when I thought going to sleep would be more rewarding.  Joe Torre went to Jonathan Broxton on Saturday for a four-out save, up three runs in the eighth.  Last night, the big L.A. Dodger closer had no Mo left in the tank.  BTW Mo went six outs for the win & save, capping off a three-inning, six-strikeout, two-save, and one-double-yoo weekend in Chavez Ravine.  Yanks take the series.  Robinson Cano is the most dangerous man in the game and is half-way to an MVP.  Joba Chamberlain is nowhere near an MVP.

Who do these Mets think they are with their home runs and division-challenging and sharp pitching?  Mets stay right up in Atlanta’s rear view mirror, darting to the left and right, now a half-game behind the NL East leaders after their loss to Detroit.  Jon Niese induced thirteen ground ball outs from the Minnesota Twins, and the staff collected eighteen in total.  Bobby Parnell’s return is an “over-the-top” moment for a bullpen that was already on fire.  On to the Marlins for a three-game set in Miami.  Florida has not been good to the Mets but now is a good time to flip that pancake (or some other nifty metaphor).

  1. Comrade Ollie returns hahahah

  2. MLB should not be played in Hiram Bithorn Stadium BTW. Place is a joke.

  3. Selig testing the logistics of expansion?

  4. Channel Surfing last night and stopped on the College World Series to hear announcer say the UCLA pitcher was up to 129 pitches in the seventh down 6-1. Some of these college stories are silly considering they don’t let prospects the same age in minor league ball throw anywhere near that.

Coach must be angling for an Under Armour Contract.

  5. later
