Yanks Lee’d, Mets Lose Ugly Too

Yanks lose, Mets lose.

Cliff Lee has a number in mind, it’s the Yankees’ number.  I wonder if he’s auditioning for the AL East.  Phil Hughes was pulled short of 100 pitches.  I doubt he’ll go Joba on us, he’s got a bit more steeliness out there and a bit more control over his work.

KRod came in for the EIGHTH inning down 6-4.  The Mets tie the game in the top of the ninth.  Pedro Feliciano blows it.  If you didn’t quite understand the previous two sentences, it’s not you – it’s Jerry Manuel moves that make no sense.

  1. nice

  2. Way to go Gonad.Fuckin’ Cano just cost them 2 more runs.I hate that lazy fucker.I hate this whole fucking team.Deport everyone of these fucks to Juarez.Job openings at the donkey show fuckers

  3. Babe, Girardi needs to get off his elbows on the rail and be gone. Cashman needs to be right behind him for the lousy shopping he did last winter. With these used, rejects from other teams

  4. This Seattle team would be awesome in the playoffs.

  5. They’d have to make it there first.

  6. russo + pena + huffman = good night, irene

  7. Retardi gives up again

  8. lee & hernandez are good…bigga.

  9. Girardi is a shit stain

  10. 2 CG’s in a row by Seattle pitching. How does Schlong still have a job??

  11. Tex & Arod aren’t all stars, they aren’t even half stars this year.

  12. later all.

  13. not even close

  14. Lib, except maybe for Cano I don’t think the Yankees have any all stars this year.

  15. Night all, hopefully the Yankees will be able to beat this weak Mariners team tomorrow

  16. Goodnight, grunts

  17. Thats because the cops have their star – Dr Galea. A-Roid is crappin himself and Tex’s neck looks human so far this year

  18. Is there a game on tonight?

  19. There was Lev… King Felix shut out the Yankees on a 2 hit complete game shutout

  20. Only kidding CDN. Saw it in bits and pieces and have to agree with all that was posted. Very lackluster showing even facing 2 of the best pitchers in baseball. No bench and the stars not performing is not a good combo. Randy Johnson won 17 games one year with a 5 era and Javy getting no run support when he pitches good enough to win. Solo HR can be dealt with when the offense is scoring but I agree with you that there is a pattern of not scoring runs for him.

  21. pitches well enough

  22. I’m amazed that they have the best record in baseball the way they have played the last month. Boston is beginning to scare me even with the loss tonight.

  23. I’m starting to get the feeling that if the Mets get anyone, it is going to be Ted Lilly.

  24. The Sux scared me when the Yankees allow them to get back into it. they had them on the ropes and they let them off….that can come back and bite the Yankees in the ass.

personally I dont think the Mets have enough to pry Lee from Seattle

  25. The Mets have enough to pry Lee for the Mariners. Will they give it up when they can sign him as a FA next season is the question.

Much needed win by Amazins lastnight. Has a “must win” feel to it even though that’s a Kingman stretch at this point in the season.

Cliff Lee iseverything you want in a pitcher as a contender. Best lefty in the game right now?

  26. King Felix is a 24 yeard old horse.

    Hughes still in diapers.

  27. Pinstriped diapers werent big enough for Joba so they threw him in the pen. That cornhusker is a mess.

  28. Pettitte right now is in the discussion for best lefty starter in MLB, along w/ Lee & Sabbathia.

    Hughes is a world champion.

Hernandez is a world class talent on a bad ball club.

Remember went King Felix hit the salami off the great Santana…opposite field, @ Shea 2 years ago Kev? Sweet.

  29. Bet the house on the Yankees today…there may not be easier $$ to make this whole baseball season. CC on the bump, Yanks on a 2 game home losing streak (which would have been a 4 game losing streak if not for Torre & Broxton shitting the bed Sunday night in the 9th) against a 1-7 pitcher w/ a 6.18 ERA? Should be like taking candy from a baby.

  30. Still no lineup at lohud but there is a short piece that says Gardner expects to play.

  31. Gardner back in left
    Derek Jeter SS
    Nick Swisher RF
    Mark Teixeira 1B
    Alex Rodriguez DH
    Robinson Cano 2B
    Jorge Posada C
    Curtis Granderson CF
    Brett Gardner LF
    Ramiro Pena 3B

    LHP CC Sabathia
